HALLOWELL — Spectrum Generations will offer a free lunch to veterans at three of its community centers for Veterans Day.
The meal will be free for veterans, but anyone is welcome at a reasonable fee.
The Cohen Community Center, 22 Town Farm Road, will serve carved ham with country mustard, lemon butter fish, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, garden salad and homemade bread pudding from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 11. Meals also are being prepared at facilities in Damariscotta and Waterville.

Drug collection

RICHMOND — A prescription-drug collection effort is under way this weekend.
People can bring any unused or unneeded medications to collection sites for proper disposal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The sites in Sagadahoc County include Richmond Senior Center, Front Street; McClellan Building, 85 Union St., Brunswick; and Topsham Municipal Building., 100 Main St.
