WEST GARDINER – With great sorrow we announce the passing of Steven L. Truman of West Gardiner. On July 23, 2022 Steven passed away at home with his children by his side.
Steven was born and raised in Whitefield, the first born son of Sherlock and Donna (Larrabee) Truman.
Steven was a born hunter and loved fishing. The only man to ride his motorcycle ice fishing. For many years he was employed by Drilling and Blasting Rock Specialist. A job he truly enjoyed till his illness prevented him from blowing up rocks.
Dad loved his title of “Grandpa” to Ian, Steven, Hunter, Devin, Elexis and Arianna, and had many jokes of being a “Great-Grandpa” to his eight great-grandchildren, Rylee, Noah, Leah, Devin Jr. Maddy, Sawyer, Grace, and Leo.
Steven was predeceased by his wife, Debbie; his mom and dad; his brother, John; and a niece, Brandy.
Survived by his son, Chad Truman and fiance Charity, his daughter, Shannon Truman; brother, Richard Truman and wife Linda, brother, Randell Truman and partner Jean, sister, Maybell Mayo and partner Gino; and many nieces and nephews.
At Steven’s request there will be no services and a private burial.
