TURNER – Jake Ouellette caught a shovel pass from Jordan Hersom on a 2-point conversion attempt to give Leavitt a 22-21 double overtime victory over Mt. Blue 22-21 in in the Pine Tree Conference Class B title game Friday at Libby Field.

Top-seeded Leavitt (11-0) pushed its conference winning streak to 33 games and reached the Class B state title game for the third consecutive season. The Hornets will play the winner of Wells-Mountain Valley on Nov. 19 at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.

No. 2 Mt. Blue, which was in position for the victory Friday before turning the ball over in the first overtime, finished 9-2.

Jordan Hersom threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Brian Bedard and Leavitt decided to go for the victory with the 2-point conversion.

Jordan Whitney threw a 20-yard touchdown pass and Izaiha Tracy rushed for a 5-yard score in double overtime to lead the Cougars.
