ROME – Born in Waterbury, Conn. on Nov. 26, 1927, Alice was the eldest daughter of Guy and Pearl Wentworth. She passed at her daughter’s home with family at her side on Aug. 17, 2022.

Known to so many as Nana, she spent her life caring for others. Children that she provided care for as infants became lifelong family members. Her passions included her pets, reading, and her extraordinary talent for handwork. Spending countless hours sewing, knitting, crocheting, and cross stitch; most of which became gifts for others.

Her kind heart and loving smile will be greatly missed. Heaven truly gained a most beautiful angel.

She is survived by all her children Gary and wife, Mary Mosher, of Rome, Jean and husband, Cliff Fletcher, of Manchester, Sandy and wife, Cindy Mosher, of Rome, and Jana and husband, Tom Patten, of Rome. She is also survived by her two youngest sisters, Carolyn Brown, of Rome and Shirley Jackson, of Turner; and many nieces, nephewsl; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, of 69 years, Alton Mosher; and her two sisters, Audrey Vogt and Florence Tracy.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Wheelers Funeral Home at 26 Church St. in Oakland.
