PREPPING FOR A FEAST: Phil McSweeney loads apple pies, for today’s Thanksgiving community dinner, into the oven Wednesday morning at St. Francis Parish Hall in Winthrop. The hall will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Winthrop Rotary will host a free Thanksgiving dinner from 12:30 to 1 p.m. There is no cost and all are welcome.
