CANAAN — A benefit for Make a Wish is set for 9 a.m. -4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Ring Family Farm, 1833 Hill Road.

The family day event will include live music, free pork barbecue lunch, food sales, a blacksmithing demonstration, chainsaw carving, pumpkin carving, a wagon ride, a corn hole tournament and a raffle.

The cost is a $20 donation per car; pumpkins also will be sold.
