The Hallowell Board of Trade plans to present a Hallowell Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 29, starting with a costume parade.
Participants can meet in costume at 5:45 p.m. at 199 Water St. The parade, set to start at 6 p.m., continues north to the Granite City Waterfront Park.
A Burning Man Bonfire will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Granite City Waterfront Park.
At 6:30 p.m. the Hall-Dale Taiko Club will play the drums; weather permitting.
“Haunting of the Hallowell Bars” will be held all evening, with live music, costume contests, and prizes at many locations, such as East Street Lounge, The Liberal Cup Public House and Brewery, The Maine House craft cocktail lounge, The Quarry Tap Room, Slates Restaurant and Burano’s Wood Fired Pizzera.
Maine Local Market at 136 Water St., will have fire pits on the Kennebec River behind the market during the weekend.
