I had the unfortunate experience of reading Mike Tipping’s column titled: “Health Care Cuts, Tax Cuts Demonstrate Skewed Priorities.”

He spoke about morals, yet his piece uttered the exact opposite. What morals exist when government uses coercion to take the labor of productive members of society to provide for the benefits of others?

Is there any virtue in forced charity through taxes?

Virtue comes from voluntary donations to the poor and the needy but not from the policies that he supports. It appears that he and I support two different societies: He writes for a society of coercion, whereas, I seek a society of virtue and morals. Readers have a choice.
