After wrapping the styrofoam with the greens the decorations, and hooking on the lights, the mini trees sparkled with the creators beaming in pride with their accomplishments, according to a news release from Donna Sawyer of the Oakland-based club.

Next came making the Christmas wreaths, which no one had made before. The greens, berries, pine cones and ribbons were all over the tables. Among the 35 garden club members, about 15 wreaths were taking shape.

The Central Maine Garden Club had accomplished its goal. Members left with their pieces ready to adorn their homes and churches.
