WATERVILLE — Area residents were among 486 seniors who graduated from Colby College May 22, receiving a bachelor of arts degree at the outdoor commencement. They were:

Nikole E. Busmanis of South China, daughter of Andis and Karla Busmanis of South China. Busmanis majored in philosophy. She is a graduate of Erskine Academy.

Emily F. Cook of Waterville, daughter of James and Susan Cook of Waterville. Cook majored in history and graduated with the following honors: dean’s list, distinction in major. She is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy.

Lauren E. Nivison of Winslow, daughter of John and Wendy Nivison of Winslow. Nivison majored in government and graduated with the following honors: dean’s list, distinction in major. She is a graduate of Winslow High School.

James F. Violette of Waterville, son of James and Mary Violette of Waterville. Violette majored in German studies and history and graduated with the following honors: distinction in German studies. He is a graduate of Waterville Senior High School.

Tory L. Gray of Farmington, daughter of Stephen and Jill Gray of Farmington. Gray majored in psychology with a neuroscience concentration and graduated with the following honors: dean’s list. She is a graduate of Mount Blue High School.
