BATH — Pine Tree Society has received a $15,000 grant from the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.
The funds will support the camp’s work to ensure access to the outdoors and respite for families caring for loved ones with autism.
“As we return to full camper capacity and continue to offer the popular programs launched over the past three years, funding is more important than ever,” said Noel Sullivan, president and CEO of Pine Tree Society, according to a news release from the society. “This grant comes at the perfect time.”
Pine Tree Camp is a program of Pine Tree Society. Since the camp opened its doors in 1945, no camper who can benefit has ever been turned away because of their ability to pay tuition.
Support from the foundation for autism helps to ensure access for campers with autism and their families.
