PORTLAND — Luke Adam of the Portland Pirates has been named the winner of the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL’s outstanding rookie for the 2010-11 season.
Portland forwards Tyler Ennis (2009-10) and Nathan Gerbe (2008-09) also were named the AHL’s outstanding rookies.
In 54 games, Adam, 20, leads all AHL rookies with 28 goals.
