Roger Wing
PORTLAND/VIENNA – “Coach” Roger Wing died at Maine Medical Center in Portland on March 22, 2023.
He was the fourth son from a farm family in Bingham on the banks of the Kennebec River. His parents were Ida Alice (Morris) Wing of Concord and Harold Wing of Flagstaff.
He was survived by his wife and loyal companion of many years, Norma Palmer Wing.
There will be no service or grieving. Please use your time for a quiet walk in our beautiful Maine woods or see a ball game. Remember the many happy memories shared in past years. One of the many sayings or mottos that became a portion of Roger’s life philosophy was gained from his baseball mentors “Every day is a new baseball game”, “Yesterday’s errors at shortstop or the outfields are in the past” “The sun is up, move forward”
Interment will be in the summer at Hilltop Cemetery in Bradford.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.
