SOLON — Mike and Diane Starr of Solon have announced the engagement of their son, Kodiak Hougen Starr of Washington, D.C. to Gabrielle Lamourelle, also of Washington, D.C., daughter of Alain and Dr. Regina Lamourelle of Mission Viejo, Calif.
Gabrielle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Public Health in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University. She is employed by Global Health Program, Design and Research in Washington, D.C.
Kodiak earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Suffolk University, Boston, Mass. He is employed as the Creative Director of New Media at The White House, Washington, D.C.
A June 11, 2011 wedding is planned at the Eastern Promenade in Portland, Maine.
