OAKLAND — Does a bear eat berries behind T-Mobile on First Park Drive?
Yes, according to Michael Longley, T-Mobile facilities and security manager.
Longley called police at 8:24 a.m. Monday to report that a video camera caught a bear near the walking trail next to the business.
Oakland Police Capt. Rick Stubbert said he did not think the bear was a threat to the approximately 700 people employed at the call center.
“Typically black bears are pretty timid,” said Stubbert.
He added, “They are a wild animal and like a moose or a deer, they have a right to be there.”
