The Rangeley Friends of the Arts plans to hold its ninth annual Western Mountain Photography Show and Exhibit from Sept. 9 through Oct. 2.
An awards reception is set from 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9.
The event will be held at the Lakeside Contemporary Art Gallery in the lobby of the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St. in Rangeley, according to a news release from Diane Bellington with the Friends.
The theme for the 2023 exhibit is “Perspective.”
Photographers can submit up to three images to earn cash prizes in two categories.
The deadline for digital submissions is Monday, July 17. Photographers interested in submitting work can visit rangeleyarts.org.
During the entire exhibit, attendees can vote for their favorite image in the People’s Choice competition.
The event and reception will feature complimentary snacks and a cash bar with beer and wine. The accepted images will be on display, and the winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
