PHILLIPS — School Administrative District 58 has announced its bus routes for the upcoming school year in Phillips Strong, Kingfield, Stratton, Avon, Madrid, Freeman, Salem Township.

The first day of school is Aug. 30 for kindergarten through ninth grade and Aug. 31 for 10th through 12th grade.

Students must be out at their stop at least 10 minutes before pick-up time. The drivers have been instructed not to wait for students who are not at their stops. These routes are subject to change as needed.

Madrid Run, Toothaker Pond

First stop: East Madrid Road at 6:35, then to Bredeau’s corner, turning left onto Voter Hill Road, picking up students along the way, then to Toothaker Pond Road, Reed’s Mill Road, arriving at the Madrid bridge at about 7:05. Then turning north on Route 4, traveling to Pelham’s, turn around then south on Route 4. Turn onto Toothaker Road, turning around at the Poland residence, returning to Route 4, then to 6 Road, back to Phillips School, where the students will be dropped off. Then to Old Blake Hill Road, Dodge Road, Park Street, and Route 4 north and back to the elementary school, arriving at 7:45.

Route 4 and Avon Valley Run

Departing Salem at 6:40 a.m. Pick up students on the way to Route 4, turn around at County Delight, north on Route 4 picking up at the end of Mount Blue Pond Road. Then to Avon Valley Road, turning around across from the Dixon residence to PES, to Pinkham Hill then back to PES dropping off students, then to MTA.

In-Town Phillips/Mile Square Run

Leaving bus garage at 6:25, picking up students on the way to Phillips, then pick up on Davenport Flat to Wheeler Hill Road, Parlin Road, Bridge Hill and Mile Square, then to Route 149. Back to Phillips Village, Pleasant Street, Whitney Street, Sawyer Street, Main Street and Ross Avenue; then to the elementary school to drop off. Then back through Main Street, picking up high school students, to Mount Abram High School.

Stratton, Eustis, Carrabassett Valley Run

Picking up at Eustis Ridge at 6:50, then pick up students on Route 27 south, stopping at Northland, Old Dead River Road, turning around at Cranberry Peak housing, then to the community building, Fotter’s Field and Hunter Hill. Then south on Route 27 picking up at Mountainside Grocery, then pick up students along Route 27 and at Tufulio’s, down Route 27 picking up students on the way to KES.

Carrabassett to Stratton

Pick up at Tufulio’s, Reddington, and The Rack then to Stratton Elementary School.

In-Town Stratton/Eustis

Depart Stratton School at 7:00, first pickup will be on Perry Road, then to the corner of Pass Road/Route 27, Eustis Ridge, and Port Nadeau Road. Then to Route 27 and Route 16, stopping at T&L, then continue to School Street, Pine Street the Flagstaff Apartments and return to Stratton school.

Coplin Bus Run

Pick up at corner of Route 16 and Kennebago Road at 6:55. High school students will be dropped off at the community building to meet bus going to MTA, then to Hunter Hill, Hedgehog Village and back to Stratton school.

KES Salem/Freeman Run

Depart Kingfield School at 6:40, pick up on the Foster Hill Road, then to Baker Hill Road, Route 142 out and back to Kingfield School, then depart Kingfield School for the Freeman Ridge Road.

West Kingfield Run

Depart bus garage at 6:50, first stop at Hinkley Pit Road, then right onto Blanchard Hill Road, turning around at Day Pond Road, then back down West Kingfield Road, turning into Old Parkway and then back to Route 27; then to Church Street, School Street, Curve Street, then to the elementary school to drop off. Return to the center of town to pick up high school students and depart for MTA at 7:45.

Kingfield Run

Leave Kingfield School at 7, to Deer Farm Road, then around the Narrow Gauge Park, to the Kingfield Woodsman Restaurant. Then to the center of town to drop off the high school students, to Maple Street, Route 16 and Riverside Street, then back into town to drop off remaining high school students, then continue on to KES.

Taylor Hill Run

Depart Strong School at 6:20, first pickup on Pond Road, then to Taylor Hill, to Spaulding Road, Pillsbury Road, Hunter Road, and Norton Hill. Then drop off students at the school, then to West Freeman Road, Tory Hill, turn around, picking up students along the way.

South Strong Road/Church Hill Run

Depart Strong School at 6:40, pick up students along South Strong Road, then to Taylor’s Auto Body, to Main Street, dropping off students at the school, then to Church Hill and return to the school.

Burbank Hill Run

Depart Strong School at 6:50, to Chandler Road, Lambert Hill Road, Burbank Hill Road, and Montford Drive, back to Strong Elementary School.

Foster Tech Run

Depart Fotter’s in Stratton at 5:55, to Reddington in CV, Camden National Bank in Kingfield, MTA, Paul G. Building in Phillips, Beal’s in Strong then continue to Mount Blue High School in Farmington.

Strong Salem/Freeman Run

Depart bus garage at 6:45, first pickup at the Lakins, then to LoveJoy Road, Baker Hill Road, and back to Route 142. Then to Route 145 and Gilkey Hill, to Strong Elementary School, then pick up high school students waiting at school and proceed to MTA.

Lexington/Highland Run

Down Long Falls Dam Road, turning around in Prey driveway, first pickup at 6:20, then to Sandy Stream Road, then back to Long Falls Dam Road picking up students on the way back to KES.
