PORTLAND — The Portland Sea Dogs took a brief lead in the fifth inning today on Jeremy Hazelbaker’s three-run homer, but the Binghamton Mets came back for a 7-6 win before 6,568 at Hadlock Field.

Sea Dogs starter Brock Huntzinger struck out 11 over six innings, but allowed five runs (four earned).

Portland reliever Kyler Fernandes (2-5) gave up Jean Luc Blaquiere’s two-run homer in the eighth inning to take the loss. It was the Sea Dogs’ fourth straight loss.

Jon Hee hit a solo home run in the eighth for the Sea Dogs (53-74).

Reynaldo Rodriguez also homered for Portland, in the fourth inning.

The Sea Dogs play at Hadlock again at 7 tonight against the Harrisburg Senators.
