Sandra E. Barron

WEST GARDINER – Sandra E. Barron, of West Gardiner, passed July 11, 2023 at her home in West Gardiner.

Sandra was born Aug. 7, 1944 in Farmington to Nelson MacLeod and Clymena (Colburn) MacLeod. She was raised in Madison and later resided in Waterville for nearly 45 years before her retirement, and relocation to West Gardiner in 2013 to be closer to her family. Sandra worked for Maine General Hospital for over 40 years retiring in 2013 due to her health.

Sandra enjoyed her home in West Gardiner, her fur babies (her cats) which she was very attached too, and shopping trips with her daughter, Michelle and close friend, Julia.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Michelle Gross and husband Michael of West Gardiner; grandson, Justin Burnell and partner Kate Kenney, granddaughter, Kiera Burnell; great grandchildren Cassidy Burnell, Elijah Hood, and Lillian Hood; sister, Marlene Meade and husband Ron of Florida. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a dear close friend, Julia Grenier.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her two brothers, Colburn MacLeod and Gregory MacLeod.

At Sandra’s request there will be no memorial services.
