So much that of the nine days a month that he was home, he would take his three dogs daily to Richie’s so they could enjoy their morning donuts. His absolute pride and joy was his land on Route 100 that he had spent many hours and finances on making a food plot and a hunting camp.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Valerie Gilbert; children: Heidi Huff and companion Zach and Nicholas Gilbert and companion Julia; grandchildren: Jadyn, Aleah, and Hudson; siblings: Gary Gilbert, Donna Wood and husband David, David Mauro and wife Sonja, Lynn Alix and husband Marcel, Vicky King and husband Michael, and Maryann Neal; step-brother, Jimmy Chartrand and wife Denise; stepsister, Sue Dynan and husband Dennis; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
