Penny E. Stiman (Adams)
AUGUSTA – Penny E. Stiman (Adams), the daughter of the late Paul “Tinny” Adams and Mildred “Money” Adams (Farrington) was gifted to this world on March 9, 1953, in Augusta. Penny attended public schools in Hillsborough county of New Hampshire and returned home to Maine during her high school years where she graduated from Winthrop High School.
Penny married Harry C. Stiman of Augusta, in October of 1976. Their union was blessed with two sons.
You could find Penny’s smiling face behind the deli counter of Shaw’s in Augusta. Her proudest moments though, were with her family, who loved her for her sweet and magnetic soul.
Penny’s legacy will eternally shine on through her two sons: Christopher P. Stiman of Augusta, and Timothy C. Stiman of New Gloucester. Her warmth will be sorely missed by her three granddaughters: Nettie E. Viel (Stiman), as well as husband Dakota J. Viel and their son Asher B. Viel of Litchfield, Emma F. Stiman of Augusta and Molly J. Stiman of Augusta.
Penny’s memory will be fondly reminisced by two younger brothers: Steven P. Adams of Manchester and Kenneth G. Adams of Hudson, New Hampshire. Penny’s iconic tomfoolery will be stories to tell by her cousin Lois A. Rouillard Chapman of Gardiner and a host of more cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Penny Stiman at the Le Club Calumet, 334 West River Road, Augusta, on August 20, at 11 a.m., downstairs. Entrances on both sides toward the back.
