AUGUSTA – Marguareta C. Eldridge, 99, passed away at Augusta Center for Rehabilitation on Aug. 10, 2023. She was born on June 10, 1924, a daughter of Ray and Rhudola (Crocker) Chadwick.

Marguareta, known to many as “Margo”, grew up in Gardiner and graduated from Gardiner Area High School in the class of 1942. She married Dana Eldridge and the two made their home in Augusta. Margo was a long time dedicated employee for the State of Maine working for the Department of Human Health and Services as an administrative assistant for 30 years.

Although she has no blood relatives, Margo leaves behind her beloved neighbors, John and Betty Hastings of Augusta who lovingly cared for Margo as one of their own relatives.
