Lucille Moody Morgan
AUGUSTA – Lucille Moody Morgan, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 23, 2023, at Gray Birch Long Term Care in Augusta. She was a New Year’s baby of 1934, born to Clarence and Marion Moody of Pittston. Plagued by health issues including epilepsy, she never let her limitations get her down. She especially enjoyed baking bread and pies which she made by the dozen all year long just to give away. She will be long remembered for her generosity to the people she loved.
She is survived by daughter, Doreen of Augusta, son Doug and his wife, Laurie of Windsor, and their sons and families, son Fred, and his wife, Michelle of Augusta and their children, and son Dana and his wife, Pam of East Pittston. She is also survived by siblings Mary Hurley of Richmond; and Geneva McKay of Edgecomb. She was predeceased by her partner of over 55 years, Robert J. Robinson Sr. of Augusta, and siblings, Robert, Herbert, Mildred and Ann Moody and Virginia Moody Robbins.
Memorial services will be held at the United Methodist Church of East Pittston, Rt. 194 in Pittston, on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the church community room immediately after the service. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Gray Birch for all their kindness during her long stay and to our Moody family for their support during this difficult time.
