As the chair of the Kennebec Democratic Committee, I interact with a lot of local political candidates. Maureen (Mo) AuCoin stands out for her knowledge of governmental challenges, creative approaches, and deep passion for Hallowell.

Mo’s dedication to Hallowell’s diverse culture and history shines through in every conversation you have with her, as does her vision grounded in both respect for the past and hope for the future. Her planned initiatives, such as hiring an economic development director to reduce Hallowell’s tax burden, supporting Vision Hallowell’s elevation, and addressing urgent housing challenges, reveal her deep understanding of the city’s needs.

Mo’s dedication to Hallowell and its unique character assures me that Hallowell will remain a welcoming and a favorite destination for all who will visit.. On Nov. 7, I urge Hallowell residents to vote for Maureen, a candidate who knows Hallowell’s past and is committed to its flourishing future.
