Having personally experienced homelessness in Augusta, I am reaching out to express my wholehearted support for Courtney Gary-Allen’s reelection to the City Council. I’ve witnessed firsthand Courtney’s unwavering dedication to tackling homelessness. Whether it’s advocating for affordable housing during late-night sessions at the City Council or devoting her weekends to cleaning up encampments on Water Street, Courtney not only talks the talk, but she also walks the walk.

I’m particularly enthusiastic about her proposal to establish the Opportunity Crew, a program inspired by a successful initiative in Portland. This program would provide homeless individuals with the chance to contribute through a day’s work in park cleanup, funded by generous donations. It extends a helping hand to the unhoused community while simultaneously addressing the City’s and businesses’ needs.

I urge you to join me in re-electing Courtney so she can continue her commendable efforts!
