Diana F. Arbour

AUGUSTA – Diana F. Arbour, 76, passed away Oct. 27, 2023 at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. She was born on August 9, 1947, a daughter of Roger and Orilda (Comeau) Patenaude.

Diana grew up in Augusta and attended local schools. On April 22, 1968, she married Paul Arbour and later became a mother to her sons, Bruce and Brian. For 27 years she worked at the Augusta Mental Health Institute (AMHI).

Diana loved spending time with her dogs and she enjoyed knitting, doing crafts, and baking. Her family and friends were the lucky recipients of all her beautiful and tasty creations all year long.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her son, Bruce Arbour; and her siblings, Roger Patenaude and Constance Humphrey.

Diana is survived by her son, Brian Arbour; her granddaughter, Ashley Arbour-Assaf and her husband, Mike; her siblings, Carmeline Edgecomb and Pauline York; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A period of visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5 from 1 p.m., to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME 04330. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 41 Western Ave., Augusta, ME 04330. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Manchester.
