This December, the Chocolate Church Arts Center is bringing the one-man version of “A Christmas Carol” starring Scott Severance on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.
Severance has starred as Scrooge in six national tours of “A Christmas Carol.” When COVID-19 hit and it became apparent that another national tour wasn’t immediately possible, the show was adapted by Scott to a one-man show and was produced off-Broadway in Manhattan and Broadway Long Island for 3 years.
Aside from his decade long run in “A Christmas Carol,” you may also recognize him from his featured role as “Artie” from the 2005 Farrelly Brothers feature film “Fever Pitch” starring Drew Barrymore, Jimmy Fallon and Jason Spevack.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
