MANCHESTER – Marilyn A. Karl, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at her home following a long illness. She was born in Erie, Pa., on Aug. 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Wilbert E. and Theresa A. (Kremp) Miller.

Marilyn attended Millcreek High School, Edinboro State Teachers College, and earned an associate degree in fine arts from the University of Maine at Augusta.

A communicant of St. Michael Parish, an accomplished artist and sculptress; Marilyn had been employed for many years at Kirschner Foods as a graphic artist and Chernowsky’s for window displays.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roger Karl of Manchester; her daughter, Robin A. Duplessis and her husband Forest of Augusta and her son, Erick F. Karl and his significant other, Angela Szucs of South China.

There will be no public visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 4, at 11a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Ave., Augusta. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Gardiner.
