Mainebiz will host the annual Mainebiz Five on the Future Forum from 7:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The event will feature a group of industry experts from top economists to area business leaders who will offer insights into what Maine businesses can expect during the rest of 2024.

The forum will be held at the DoubleTree By Hilton Portland, 363 Maine Mall Road, South Portland.

The program will begin with keynote speaker Amanda Rector, Maine’s state economist. Rector will provide a forecast on 2024 for the state of Maine, as it relates to national trends. Then attendees will hear from a panel of Maine CEOs and leaders from five unique industries as they address opportunities, and challenges for Maine’s future and how they see the marketplace performing in 2024, according to a news release from Mainebiz.

The panel will be moderated by Rector and include Dava Davin, founder and principal of Portside Real Estate Group; Denis Garriepy, chief operating officer at Landry/French Construction; Jim Roche; president of Maine Bankers Association; Chris Mallett, chief administrative officer at The Roux Institute at Northeastern University; and Kierston Van Soest, chief financial officer at L.L. Bean.
