BETHEL — Mahoosuc Land Trust is set to offer “Birds, Backyards and You — A Webinar Series” starting Wednesday, Jan. 24.
Winter provides ample time to watch the birds visiting feeders and landscape and to try to figure out what is happening. It also is an opportune time to listen to a professional bird rehabilitator about what happens when a bird takes a person into its confidence, according to a news release from Barbara Murphy, Habitat For All Program director with the trust.
To learn more, join the trust for three webinars designed to get one into a bird’s frame of mind.
• Wednesday, Jan. 24, 7 p.m.: “Feeding Backyard Birds and Creating a Sanctuary” with Bill Gette;
• Wednesday, Jan. 31, 6 p.m.: “The Bluebird Effect” with Julie Zickefoose; and
• Wednesday, Feb. 21, 6:30 p.m.: “How Birds Survive Winter” with James Reddoch.
The webinars are free and open to all. To register, go to mahoosuc.org.

It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
