BINGHAM — Madeline Hill scored her 1,000th career point as the Valley girls basketball team defeated Forest Hills 75-39 on Wednesday.
Hill, a junior, reached the milestone on a 2-point basket in the first quarter. She finished with 33 points.
Liana Hartwell finished with 12 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds for Valley (11-0), while Kiersten Bigelow scored 16 points. Bre Mills and Rylee Clark had 10 rebounds apiece.
Allie Dunning scored 20 points for Forest Hills (8-3).
POLAND 58, OAK HILL 25: Althea Thornton scored 22 points as the Knights (6-5) won handily in Poland.
Charlotte Grenier and Payton Rose added eight points apiece for Poland. Audrey McElhaney sscored 10 points for Oak Hill (0-8).
MADISON 54, MT. ABRAM 21: Alison Griffeth scored a game-high 14 points for the undefeated Bulldogs (9-0) in their victory over the Roadrunners in Strong.
Mackenzie Robbins added 12 points for Madison.
Kharlie Turner scored 13 points for Mt. Abram (4-5).
HALL-DALE 70, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 52: Jade Graham and Hayden Madore each finished with 21 points for the Bulldogs (5-1) in their victory in Rumford.
KJ Greenhalgh added 12 points for Hall-Dale.
Layce Boucher scored 11 points for Mountain Valley (3-5).
BOYS BASKETBALL
LISBON 44, OAK HILL 32: Owen Hurd finished with 13 points for the Greyhounds in their first win of the season in Lisbon.
Owen Booker added 12 points for Lisbon (1-9), while PJ Smith scored 12 points for Oak Hill (1-10).
VALLEY 88, FOREST HILLS 40: Harry Louis scored 33 points as the Cavaliers won handily in Bingham.
Fisher Tewksbury had 29 points and 10 rebounds for Valley (8-3). Jaxson Desjardins scored 15 points for Forest Hills (8-4).
MARANACOOK 71, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 49: Keagan McClure scored 18 points as the Black Bears prevailed in Readfield.
Jack Fontaine and Elijah Freeman added 15 points apiece for Maranacook (9-1).
Tanner Henry scored 10 points for Mountain Valley (5-5).
BUCKFIELD 41, CARRABEC 37: Krosby Harvey contributed 16 points for the Bucks, leading them to the win in Buckfield.
Gaven Parsons chipped in eight points for Buckfield (4-6).
Pete Vicheire finished with 12 points for Carrabec (5-5) and Cooper Dellarma added 10.
WAYNFLETE 46, HALL-DALE 39: Jed Alsup’s basket broke a third quarter tie and sparked an 11-0 run to lead Waynflete to the win in Portland.
Alsup added a layup for a 35-26 lead heading to the fourth quarter where a layup from Nico Kirby gave the Flyers (8-3) their biggest lead. Kirby led all scorers with 17 points. Alsup added nine.
The Bulldogs (4-6) got as close as five down the stretch but couldn’t complete the rally. Nick Brown had a team-high 11 points.
MT. ABRAM 52, MADISON 29: Payton Mitchell finished with 16 points for the Roadrunners, leading them to a win in Strong.
Bryce Wilcox added 11 points for Mt. Abram (9-0).
Ethan Linkletter chipped in 10 points for Madison (6-3).
