Kathelene J. (Dodge) Hart

CANAAN – Kathelene J. (Dodge) Hart, 94, passed away on Feb. 19, 2024, at the Dexter Nursing Home.

Kay was born on May 31, 1929, in St. Albans, the daughter of Jerome and Jennie (Frost) Dodge. She had worked for Keyes Fibre and Solon Manufacturing. She enjoyed time with her family and socializing with all her friends. She absolutely loved going on adventures.

She leaves behind her loving children, Merle “Butch” Hart Jr, David Hart, and Roxane Hart and partner Jon Prescott, son-in-law, Dennis Woodard Sr; brothers, Ronnie Dodge and Jr Dodge; grandchildren, Bobbie Jo Neal, Merle Davis, Dennis Woodard Jr, and Kimberly Hart; great-grandchildren, special great-grandchild, Chelcee; and special great-great-granddaughter, Shylyn; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Merle Hart Sr; four brothers, Jack, Maurice, Glen, and Dick, one sister, Shirley; two children, Frank Hart and Pat Woodard; and two grandchildren, Kurt and Terri Height.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Fairview Cemetery, Canaan, with Pastor Mark Tanner officiating.
