Margaret (Simpson) Hamilton
CORNVILLE – Margaret “Peggy” (Simpson) Hamilton, 73, after a 10-year valiant battle with cancer, passed away peacefully, Feb. 24, 2024.
Peggy grew up in Farmington, the daughter of Fred and Lillian (Ayer) Simpson. She was one of eight children.
Peggy had a storybook childhood and was a teacher early in her life. She would gather her siblings together and pretend to be their teacher. After attending UMF, she started teaching at Cornville School and taught there for 33 1/2 years. She loved to teach and greatly impacted many lives.
In 1974, Peggy married Tom Hamilton, and they had a wonderful life together for 49 years. They raised two amazing daughters, Skyla and Amy. The Hamilton family was full of love. Peggy welcomed Scott Holderman and granddaughter, Johanna, into her loving family. Peggy enjoyed life to the fullest. She was so positive and caring. She was loved by family and friends from all over. All through her life Peggy enjoyed many outdoor activities. She especially enjoyed the Simpson/Campbell summer reunion.
A celebration of life will be held in the Summer of 2024.
