RoiAnn L. Twitchell
MADISON – RoiAnn L. Twitchell, 76, whose beautiful soul passed to heaven to be with her loved ones on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, with her loving husband, Stuart H. Twitchell, at her side.
RoiAnn was born in Skowhegan, to Roy J. and Loraine A. (McCarthy) Gallant, on Aug. 1, 1947. She was a graduate of Madison High School and spent her career as an administrative clerk working for Cianbro and local shoe factories.
RoiAnn was a parishioner at St. Sebastian Church in Madison and spent much of her retired years volunteering at local nursing homes. Having been raised among so many aunts, uncles, and cousins, she enjoyed the joys of extended family activities. She was a giving soul who was always happiest with the simple things in life, like baking homemade biscuits and singing her favorite songs.
She was predeceased by both her parents; brothers Joseph R. and James E. Gallant; her stepson, Jeremy T. Twitchell; and her granddaughter, Rachel W. McCarthy.
RoiAnn is survived by her husband, Stuart Twitchell; sister, Gail Quimby; children, Jonathan McCarthy, Marcia Stetson and husband Michael Kalter, Steven McCarthy and wife Monica, Cathy McCarthy, stepdaughter, Tracy Milligan and husband Jeff; six grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Stetson, Ryan Turner and wife Krystal, Jameson McCarthy, Emma and Ava Milligan; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Cote and Amelia Turner; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to add a special thank you to The MaineGeneral Hospice team for all the wonderful care and support they provided, especially nurse Franny, social worker Michelle, CNA Heather, and Chaplin Jane.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Sebastian’s Church in Madison, March 9, 10:30 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at the Waterville Elk’s Lodge in the downstairs lounge from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Graveside service will be held later with time and date to be announced.
