WINSLOW – Ronald Cook, 97, passed away peacefully at his home in Winslow on May 11, 2024. He was born March 20, 1927, the son of Lawrence and Flossie (Dyer) Cook

Ronald was in the Army and was a WWII veteran. He met his wife Beverly and shared 73 years together. He worked as a Yard Master for Maine Central Railroad.

Roland loved to dance with his wife, traveling the world dancing together, line dancing, and ballroom dancing. Later in life, Roland and his wife became snowbirds, wintering in Florida and returning each spring to their home and family in Winslow.

He was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Cindy Cook, and his son, Ricky Cook.

He is survived by his grandchildren Brad Cook, Ryan Cook, and Terry.

There will be a graveside service June 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Rest.
