William H. “Bill” Cody

BANGOR – William H. “Bill” Cody, 74, passed away May 11, 2024, at a Veterans healthcare facility located in Bangor. Bill, Billy, Billy boy, a native of Augusta, where he was born Jan. 4, 1950. Bill was the son of Maurice and Lucienne M. (Betit) Cody.

Bill attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Grammar School and went to Cony High school. After graduating, he served honorably in the USAF from 1968 to 1972. When Bill returned home to Augusta he continued his education to pursue two AA Degrees, one in Business and a second degree in Accounting.

Bill soon met his bride-to-be, Elizabeth, and on June 11, 1987, Bill and Liz welcomed the arrival of their first child, a beautiful daughter named Christina L Cody. Two years later in 1989 Elizabeth was joyful and blessed with a second healthy child, a son, William H Cody born on Nov 17,1989.

In addition to Bill’s parents he was predeceased by two siblings; a sister Marlene (Cody) Gallant of Mexico, Maine and a brother, Robert L Cody of Freedom,, Maine.

He is survived by his eldest brother, Norman Cody, three sisters, Patricia “Pat” Miner, Jacqueline “Jackie” Beckim, Jeanine Jacques, of Melbourne PQ, Canada and his youngest brother, Michael J Cody of Tampa Fla.
