Dolores Esther (Huff) Marquis

ATHENS – The family of Dolores Esther (Huff) Marquis, 77, sadly announce her passing on Jan. 18, 2024. Dolores was born the daughter of Vernal Huff and Marjorie Huff (Burton) on July 20, 1946. She grew up in Athens with her 11 brothers and sisters. She was mother to Dwight Weese, Dwayne Weese, and Daniel Weese. She had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dolores loved cooking, visiting friends and family, and taking care of people. She worked at the Moscow Radar Site and Thomas College as a security guard and did in-home care for private patients for many years, which is something she truly loved.

She was predeceased by family friend Lonny Marquis.

Dolores will be missed by her family and longtime friend Lionel Cassie of Canada.

Dolores’s family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Ridge for taking such good care of her while she was there.

Her sons would like to invite family and friends to share memories and celebrate her birthday, July 20, 2024, at the home of Michael and Cindy Huff, 32 Pond Rd. in Athens, at 1 p.m.
