Michael Richard Albert

WEST GARDINER – Michael Richard Albert, 55, of West Gardiner, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Michael was born in Augusta on Aug. 28, 1968. He grew up in Hallowell and graduated from Hall-Dale High School, class of 1986, where he excelled in sports including football, basketball and track and field. He worked for Pine State Trading Company for 29 years before following his dream of owning his own business as a successful carpenter.

Michael loved all things Maine especially Rangeley, Moosehead, Lubec and Pemaquid. He was a passionate fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox. He was an amazing cook and grill master. He was an avid fisherman, a talented artist, and loved music, especially Hank Williams, Jr. and Jimmy Buffett, attending many concerts. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Heather, to Sedona, Ariz. and his many trips to Florida to visit his in-laws Steve and Marcia Sargent.

Michael is survived by his parents Joseph and Mary Ellen (Rice) Albert, of Chelsea; wife, Heather (Sargent) Albert, of West Gardiner; daughter, Emily Albert and her partner Eli, son, Matthew Albert; sisters Laurie and Greg Bailey, Jennifer and Frank Brown; many nieces, nephews; aunts, uncles; and cousins; all of whom he loved fiercely and deeply.

Michael’s celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 18 at the Pittston Fair Grounds from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. In true Mike fashion, wear your favorite Hawaiian or tie-dye shirt.
