I’m delighted that Laura Jones is running for the Legislature. A fourth-generation Vassalboro native, Laura served America for 25 years in intelligence in the U.S. Air Force. Returning in 2018 she was concerned about her community’s disconnectedness. She worked hard and fast to create ways for her community to access information about decisions community leaders were making and allow for community input and promote its businesses, organizations and people. Passionate about transparency and engagement she works hard to ensure citizens have access to the information they need to make informed decisions.
Laura Jones is fighting for reproductive rights and health care, common sense measures that respect Maine’s sporting tradition and provide public safety and security. Her work in Air Force intelligence taught her the life-and-death importance of communications and she is bringing that knowledge to us by her willingness to serve as a state representative.
