DRESDEN — Lincoln County Historical Association’s Preservation Party, an annual dinner and auction, is set for Sunday, Sept. 8, at Pownalborough Court House on Cedar Grove Road.
Highlighting the list of experiences are vacation trips to Belize and Portugal. Other offerings include a catered dinner for eight, a repertory theater package, a fishing trip on Casco Bay, a spa day, car detailing, and four nights at a local bed and breakfast.
The party theme is a celebration of heritage, and the Collections Committee will describe its activities in the documentation of historical artifacts for future generations.
Entrance to the party is by reservation only, tickets cost $80-$125.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
