PITTSFIELD — The eighth annual Maine Cheese Festival is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Manson Park, 51 Peltoma Ave.
Attendees can sample and purchase nationally recognized cheeses from 15-plus small, artisanal, Maine cheese makers. A beer and wine garden will contain vendors sampling and selling Maine beer, wine and spirits.
Local food trucks will be cooking throughout the day. Additional vendors include foods that pair well with Maine cheese, like ferments, crackers, breads, jams and chutneys. Craft artisans include goat milk soaps, pottery and charcuterie boards.
Entertainment includes a live music tent featuring the Cheese Fairies, along with a magician and activities for children.
The festival is organized in two ticket options, an 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. early bird entry, and a noon-5 p.m. entry.
Tickets are available for advance purchasing at mainecheesefestival.org.
