LEEDS — Androscoggin County Sheriff’s deputies and area fire departments responded to a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Sasha Rumpf of China was traveling east on Route 202 around 4 p.m. Saturday with her 3-year-old daughter when a vehicle driven by Thomas Small of North Monmouth was pulling left to enter Springbrook Golf Course at 141 Route 202, said Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy William Gagne.

Small did not see Rumpf’s oncoming vehicle, which struck him causing heavy front end damage to both vehicles, Gagne said.

Gagne said Rumpf was transported to a hospital for a leg injury and her daughter for head lacerations.

Small was not injured.
