Watching the Democratic Party celebrating genocide joyfully at their convention is chilling to say the least. I notice that their headquarters for Somerset County in downtown Skowhegan has a poster with random feel-good words like peace and love in the window. Do they think they can paper over the fact that the Biden-Harris administration just sent an additional $20 million in weapons to Israel to continue slaughtering Palestinians?
As a history major in my youth I pondered the essential question, how could the German people have allowed the Holocaust right in their midst? Now I know.
And don’t “bad orange man” at me. His genocide support is well-known and his loyalty to the corporate interests who rule us is no different. Thanks to ranked choice voting in Maine there is no spoiler effect and you can vote your conscience. That is, if you still have one.
