Shirley May Parlin
MADISON – Shirley May Parlin, 92, passed away peacefully on Sep. 4, 2024. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, loving smile, soft spoken words and understanding soul.
Shirley was born on Winding Hill Rd. in Norridgewock on Oct 11, 1931, the daughter of Clifton Buzzell and Lillian (Esta) Green and sibling to Dorothy, Blanch and Thomas. She spent her younger years in Maine where she lovingly raised her nine children.
Shirley spent 15 years working for Maplecrest in Madison before moving to Naugatuck, Conn. She spent five years working for Romantic MFG before moving on and working 19 years for United Avionics where she retired at 71. She had an outstanding work ethic and dedication like no other. She spent her final years on the Parlin property living aside her son Wayne where they were able to be close to one another.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents Clifton and Lillian; her sons, Thomas, George, Wayne, Stanley, Jim and her daughter Linda.
Shirley is survived by her sons Michael, Robin and John; her grandchildren Travis and Troy, Ameta and Amber, Betsy and Bobbi-Joe and Jennifer; many great-grandchildren; as well as her special extended family, Linda Parlin and Debbie Lambert.
To pay respects to her decision, we will not be holding services at this time. We ask that you remember her as she was and cherish the memories that you hold close.
The family would like to thank the staff of RFGH and Maplecrest for your kindness and care that you showed our Mom/Grammy in her final days.
