Let’s take two core issues for Mainers: climate change and health care.
Climate change is real. My house faces the Damariscotta parking lot, which was knee deep in water twice in January, flooding local businesses.
I, and many thousands of other Mainers, rely on Medicare. Thousands more rely on Medicaid and others on the Affordable Care Act. All have been threatened by Republicans.
We need politicians who recognize the profound issues facing us and work to find solutions.
At the Maine Senate level this is Cameron Reny, our current senator. Cameron is the chairperson of the Marine Resources Committee.
As a member of the Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services Committee she is a forceful advocate for protecting and expanding health care benefits for Mainers, and in fighting corporate greed in the pharmaceutical industry.
With Cameron we can continue to move forwards and not backwards.
