I am as impressed by Cassie Julia the candidate for House District 65 as I was by Cassie Julia the student in my English class at Lawrence High School. Impressed, but not surprised. In high school, I saw her as a young woman determined to succeed, which she has done.
Since high school, Cassie and I have stayed connected. She has offered to help me on various fundraising activities and to assist me with computer issues. Cassie participated in a community clean up I organized for Earth Day. She has stood beside me at various women’s rights marches. She truly understands the importance of a woman’s right to self-determination. I also saw Cassie at a recent Pride festival.
Cassie has demonstrated that she cares about the planet and its inhabitants: this is why I encourage residents of House District 65 (parts of Waterville and Oakland) to join me in voting for Cassie Julia.
