Michael Lemelin, R-Chelsea, is running for reelection in House District 53.
On Oct. 25 of last year, Robert Card shot and killed 18 people, wounding 13 others.
On April 10 of this year, Lemelin stood in the House Chamber and spoke the following: “When 1619 passed and went into law on Oct. 25, you told God life doesn’t matter. Keep in mind that the law came into effect on Oct. 25. God heard you and the horrible events on Oct. 25 happened.”
Lemelin is unfit to serve us.
His opponent, Judy Tunkle, D-Dresden), is a sensible option. If you can’t vote for her (wrong ideas, wrong party, etc.), please consider writing in the candidate of your choice or leaving that square blank.
Such callous disregard for the innocent lives of our fellow Mainers must not be rewarded.
