Randy C. Mitchell

AUGUSTA – Randy C. Mitchell, 64, passed on Oct. 17, 2024, at his home in Augusta with his wife by his side.

He was born in Camden, the son of Richard Mitchell and Reina A. Boudreau. In 1968 the family moved to Cape Elizabeth where Randy would grow up and graduate from Cape Elizabeth High School in 1979.

He loved to tell of his time when he worked at Hellenic College, where the Boston Celtics practiced. He got to meet the players and sometimes play alongside of them.

Randy held many positions over the course of his life but was most proud of the work he did during his time with Goodwill Industries as an employment specialist. It brought him great joy to help other learn to navigate the work force and he made many friends along the way.

Some of Randy’s fondest memories were of his time hunting with his grandpa Ted (Theodore Mitchell) and uncle Jim (James Mitchell) in Union. And if you would listen, he would tell you all the details of their hunting adventures.

Surviving him is his wife Lori, and children Chris Casoria and Erica Casoria; his siblings, Bob Mitchell of Marion, Mass., Roxanne Germain and her husband David, of Alford, Mass., and Roger Mitchell and his wife Karen of Union; his grandchildren, Arin Casoria of Raymond, N.H., Killian Casoria of Augusta, Uriah Weeks of Augusta, and Alyssa Casoria of Farmingdale; his extended family, Helen Willette of Augusta, Carol Dudley and husband Lendell of Manchester, Evelyn Casoria of Augusta, Paula Casoria of Augusta, Diana Casoria of Augusta; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Nov. 3, 2024, from 1-4 p.m., at the Manchester Lions Club, Club House Road, Manchester, Maine.
