I am writing to express my strong support for Raegan LaRochelle for Senate District 15, particularly because of her focus on safer roads and sidewalks for cyclists. As someone who relies on a bike as my only mode of transportation, I constantly worry about my safety on roads that are not designed for cyclists.
In addition to concerns about road safety, I am deeply troubled by the rumors that Kennebec Valley Community Action Program will be replaced by Motive Care. With their “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau and reports of patients being abandoned at home or at appointments because drivers fail to show up, I am worried about how this change will affect our community. People who depend on this transportation, including myself, deserve reliable service, especially when insurance is supposed to cover these rides.
I’m voting for Raegan on Nov. 5 because she is committed to working on these issues. Join me!
