NORTH ANSON — Desmond Robinson scored 14 points and Michael Steuber added 10 points as the Carrabec boys basketball team beat Forest Hills 52-41 in an East-West game on Monday.
Seth Price scored nine points for Carrabec (3-0) .
Jaxson Desjardins led Forest Hills (2-2) with 21 points, while Ryan Bourgoin added 11 points.
VALLEY 69, WISCASSET 38: Fisher Tewksbury scored 19 points in the Cavaliers’ (2-0) road win over the Wolverines (2-1) in Wiscasset.
Harry Louis and Collin Nichols each added 12 points and Hunter Mills scored 11 for
Valley.
Landin Shirley led Wiscasset with 17 points, while Spencer Pinkham had 10.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
MARANACOOK 42, MT. ABRAM 30: Celia Bergdahl scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Black Bears (3-1) to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Roadrunners (2-1) in Readfield.
Alice Ferran had eight points and eight rebounds, while Gracie Farrell added seven points for Maranacook.
Jany Pepin led Mt. Abram with 13 points, while Bailea Haines added six points.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 38, OAK HILL 35: The Mustangs (3-1) out-dueled the Raiders (1-4) to earn an MVC win in Monmouth.
Kaitlyn Frost scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Monmouth. Maeve Burgess had 15 rebounds to go along with six points, and Peyton McDonald blocked five shots.
Breanna McElhaney led Oak Hill with 14 points, including eight free throws, and Mackenzee Wardwell scored seven points.
VALLEY 83, WISCASSET 13: Madeline Hill (24 points) and Liana Hartwell (nine points, 10 rebounds, 11 steals) had big games as the Cavaliers took down the Wolverines in Wiscasset.
Kirsten Bigelow (17 points) and Miranda Beane (10 points) joined Hill in double figures for Valley (2-0). Brianna Mills added six points and nine rebounds.
Wiscasset falls to 0-4.
WINTHROP 49, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 28: Ella Rice paced the Ramblers (2-2) past the Falcons (2-2) in Winthrop.
Rice scored a game-high 23 points, highlighted by three 3-pointers. Kylee Mansir added 10 points for Winthrop.
Madison Down led Mountain Valley with six points, while Layce Boucher and Alyvia Theriault each had five points.
